Cornell Productivity Calculator (CPC)

The Cornell Productivity Calculator gives an estimate of the financial benefit of an increase in productivity that can arise from an investment in office ergonomics.

Studies reported in the Ergonomics literature suggest that productivcity increases should be in the range of 5% to 15%, with a median of 12% (based on 25 studies).

To use the calculator simply type in the numbers for the per square foot costs that apply to your organization, and then the number that represents the percentage productivity increase that you are expecting to achieve.

You can keep typing in different numbers (click on the 'update' button each time to recalculate the values) to explore different scenarios.

The calculator then gives you the per square foot and total workstation benefit of the ergonomic investment.
