Fitts' Law Recriprocal Clicking Task

NOTE: This will only work in Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers!

This task was developed by Shenwei Liu at Cornell University.

Fitts' Classical Reciprocal Clicking Experiment Setup Instructions:

When you click on the link below to start the task you can either accept the deafult values in the start screen or type in your own values and then click on the "Start" button.

  1. Type in the target widths (pixels), separated by commas (e.g. 64, 128)
  2. Type in the target distances (pixels) , separated by commas (e.g. 128,256,512) (this is the distance from the screen center to the target center in pixels)
  3. Type in the number of trials for each width-distance combination (must be >=3)
  4. Click on the start button (Note that any combination in which the target distance is smaller than the target width will be ignored. )

Task Instruction: Click within the blue highlighted target rectangle as quickly and accurately as possible.

Saving your Output

There are two ways to save your output:
(1) save the page as HTML file after a task is finished
(2) select the table, copy, and paste into excel after a task is finished
