  Frequency of injury by time of day injury occurred

Daily patterns of injury.

We looked at the incidence of injury by the time of day that it occurred for the incidences which were reported. There appear to be two spikes during the day when injuries are most likely to occur, one in the morning around 8 or 9 AM and again in the afternoon around 2 or 3 PM. This corresponds with known daily performance cycles of humans (Hedge, 1997).
