Our teams work on a variety of exciting consumer, medical and industrial
projects and our user researchers push past the limits of traditional consumer
and product design research methods to provide our clients with knowledge,
opportunities, and direction that lead to meaningful product solutions, roadmaps
and service experiences. Our researchers are part of a multi-disciplinary team
involved in the design process from defining the strategic direction through
full development, representing the voice of the end consumer. We are searching
for a talented individual that can perform as an experienced Human Factors
Specialist on a multi-disciplinary team in our
Responsibilities:
ˇ
Conduct primary user research to determine usability issues and design
implications
ˇ
Work closely with our clients to translate their requirements coupled with user
requirements into product design
ˇ
Participate in analysis of usability testing findings and assist in creating
detailed evaluations and metrics
ˇ
Apply human factors evaluation to the design of products
ˇ
Provide human factors input throughout the design process from definition of
user needs, requirements specification, task analysis, user interface design and
user error analysis
ˇ
Plan, design and conduct usability evaluations of small- to large-scale products
and applications
ˇ
Document and evaluate against usability principles and best practices
ˇ
Identify and implement a variety of methods for getting input and feedback from
users, including but not limited to:formative testing, summative testing,
participatory design methods, diary studies, interviews, observational studies
and focus groups
Requirements:
ˇ
Masters degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Human Computer Interaction or
related discipline
ˇ
Two years of related experience primarily in usability testing role or
ergonomics
ˇ
Understanding of usability testing, methodologies and basic statistical analyses
ˇ
Demonstrated knowledge of usability and HF/E standards and guidelines
ˇ
Excellent communication skills are required
ˇ
Strong presentation and reporting skills
ˇ
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and with multiple efforts
ˇ
Experience in performing lab- and non-lab enabled user interface and hardware
testing
ˇ
Experience developing design recommendations and requirements documentation
