Experience Level: At least 3 years professional human factors/user interaction design experience and advanced degree in related field.

We seek an experienced, talented user experience designer who is concerned with the entire user experience, including the physical look-and-feel of the products as well as the software-generated displays that serve as the user interfaces on advanced telephone systems used in medium to large business office environments and call centers. As a UE designer you will be working closely with product managers, hardware and software engineers, hardware designers, product verification engineers, and user documentation technical writers. This work involves taking the lead role on user-interaction design and evaluation and requires:

• Developing conceptual models of the end-to-end business-communication user experience
• Designing and prototyping usable interfaces that accurately translate the vision and requirements of the product
• Providing requirements for physical interactions such as button layout and responsiveness, physical aesthetics, and screen and LED luminosity
• Creating high-level and detailed user interaction flows based on market requirements, representing key components in storyboards, functional diagrams, design guidelines, wireframes and screen and physical layout mock-ups
• Planning and analyzing usability studies
• Modifying user-interactions design, in a manner that is responsive to customer feedback and internal modification requests
• Ensuring the quality and integrity of the design throughout the development cycle
• Being an advocate for the user.

The successful candidate will be able to translate market and systems engineering requirements documents into user interaction designs, as well as to work closely with developers in an Agile workflow environment. Your team members may be down the hall or half-way around the world, so strong organizational, communication and visualization skills are essential.

Desired qualifications:

• Available for Full-time position
• At least 3 years of Human factors or user-interaction design experience
• Passionate interest in how people interact with both hardware and software, and how software and hardware innovations can interact to produce great user experiences
• Ability to quickly comprehend key user-interaction issues and to be responsible for product user-interaction design
• Good communication skills is a must
• Experience working with a global team of product managers, developers, system engineers and product verification specialists
• Advanced degree in Human Factors, User Interaction Design, Cognitive Psychology or related fields is a plus
• Facility with Visio and graphic software such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Telecommunications experience is a big plus, but not required
