Cognitive Scientist / Human Factors Analyst – Human Performance

Aptima currently has an opening for a Cognitive Scientist or Human Factors Analyst in the Human Performance Division. We are looking for individuals interested in working on a variety of projects related to training needs analysis, training system development and evaluation, performance measure development, technology evaluation, and human performance assessment.
Minimum Requirements:
§ Masters or Ph.D. in Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, or a related field
§ Excellent written communication skills
§ Excellent verbal communication skills
§ Willingness to travel up to 25%
§ U.S. Citizenship
§ Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance
§ The ideal candidate also will have at least three of the following:
§ Proficiency in defining measures for assessment (e.g., training, performance)
§ Proficiency in experimental design and statistical data analysis
§ Proficiency in task and training needs analysis
§ Experience in education or training system design
§ Experience with simulation-based training systems
§ Proficiency with data analysis programs (SPSS/SAS)
Desired but not required:
§ History of leading winning proposals
§ Experience developing/delivering military training
§ Experience conducting research within the military domain

Aptima will compensate applicants for any travel or relocation expenses to fill this position. All applicants must be willing to work in one of Aptima's office locations Monday through Friday.
