Human Factors Engineer Full-time Opportunity

Location:  OR, AZ
 

Intel is looking for candidates that have graduated within the last several years to be considered for a Human Factors Engineer (HFE) in eBusiness Group. Helps develop solutions that "fit" the user and their tasks--by using human factors and process improvement techniques to represent the customer/user throughout all phases of the Program Life Cycle (PLC).

RESPONSIBILITIES: User requirements gathering & definition (including user visits, task flow analysis, contextual inquiry and other data collection). Work with project team to establish usability goals; track the performance against the goals throughout the development process. Product concept formation & qualification - Rapid, iterative UI design, simulation, and evaluation. Conduct usability testing in field and lab settings. Evangelize user-centered design through training, role modeling, and influencing project teams. Provide guidance on workflow mapping and improvements, including assisting training to provide work aids and process changes. Proven experience and knowledge of Human Factors methods (data collection methods, developing usability goals, UI design, etc.). Highly developed UI design skills for creating paper and electronic prototypes (graphic design, web design, web development languages/technology). Excellent verbal and written communications abilities (incl. presentation skills). Creative problem solver who can prioritize and focus on critical tasks. PhD in Cognitive or Experimental Psychology or Human Factors (or equivalent). 3+ years experience in Human Factors Engineering (including web, software, or eBusiness solutions development.  Candidates must have the permanent unrestricted right to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship.
