Position:  Reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer, the Human Factors Engineer will participate in the creation of innovative product solutions and human interfaces by utilizing best practices of Human Factors Engineering while working closely with development teams.

 

Nature of Role:  The Human Factors Engineer will lead human factors engineering design, development, and testing activities in cross-functional program teams innovating and improving medical device and consumer healthcare products.  The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the theories, principles, and data associated with human performance capabilities and limitations (perceptual, cognitive, motor, biomechanical, and anthropometric) and the ability to apply this knowledge to the design, definition, evaluation, launch, and use of consumer healthcare products and medical devices.

 

Requirements:  Detail-oriented, energetic self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.  The successful candidate will have a proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.  The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a human factors engineering role coupled with medical device industry experience.  Additional qualifications are as follows:
