The 3M Ergonomics Program addresses the interaction between employees and their work with the goals of enhancing performance, job satisfaction and physical well being as well as efficiency, productivity, and quality. A position is being offered by 3M's Corporate Safety Department in the Optimized Operations (O2) program. The O2 ergonomist will conduct projects focused on providing technical assistance for selected 3M manufacturing operations at various US locations. These projects typically require three to four months of time and are performed at the manufacturing location. The long-term strategy is for the ergonomist to obtain an ergonomics position at a specific 3M location within one to two years. This person will report to 3M's Corporate Safety Department and receive technical and project support from Corporate Ergonomics.
