Course Description:
This course extends the breadth and depth of coverage of DEA 470 through advanced project work.

Course Objectives:
This course aims to develop the student's ability to apply knowledge of human factors and ergonomics to the analysis and solution of real-world projects. Upon completion of this course the student should:

1. Be familiar with using of human factors and ergonomics methods to the analysis of a wide
   variety of project situations.
    
2. Be able to frame ergonomic problems so that they are amenable to ergonomic analysis.
    
3. Be able to write an ergonomics analysis report and to publicly present information on a human
   factors project.
    
4. Be able to search for and review appropriate literature.

Course Format:
The course meets for DEA 470 classes and once each week for an additional hour. This time will be used for a combination of seminar presentation by students, discussion, and review work. Projects will be assigned. Assessment of course performance will be based on performance in DEA 470, class participation and a semester project report.

Semester Project:
Further guidance will be given in class.

Grading Scheme:
The following grading scheme will be used. Your performance will be assessed relative to the course objectives and to your peers.
75% DEA 470 grade (assessed as specified in DEA 470 syllabus)
25% DEA 670 Semester Project
